Heading North

Day 7 Friday

Set off from Tombstone heading North up the I-10 a bit and then we turned off heading towards Indian country. The first reservation we came to was the San Carlos Apache reservation and then we headed down into the Salt River Canyon. It was a good job Chris. was driving as I just shut my eyes and gibbered incoherently,

we stopped at the river and then set off up the other side. This time I was prepared and did not even attempt to look.

this side of the river was the Fort Apache Reservation, and our only significant stop was to look at the fort which is being seriously restored and should be very impressive when it is finished, the only completed part so far is the C.O. s log cabin.

We stopped for the night at a place called Pinetop, 7,000 ft.up in the mountains and it was cold!!!!, 90s down to 40s is a serious shock to the system.
