Day 9 Sunday
From Pinetop we left to go to Payson, Camp Verde and onward. On the way we passed a modern old western community called Bison Town and we stopped for a cup of coffee and a look round.
When we stopped for breakfast we were told that Wood Canyon Lake
was worth seeing, and to look at the rim. The lake was beautiful and the rim was amazing, about 7,000 feet up looking out over miles and miles of scenery.
We next went to Tonto Natural Bridge,
and then up to Sedona. Sedona is in Red Rock State Park, as you can imagine from the name a lot of the rocks are red.
We were sent up to a high point to see the sunset, which was nothing very special except for looking down on the town,
and some spectacular rock formations.
