Set off to Calangute center to the ATM to get some money, transaction denied!!!!!!!!. Return to the apartment in a bit of a temper. Phoned Nationwide,after lots of rigmarole,told that my card had not been blocked and that it may be because Visa were updating so please try later. Walked back to ATM and it worked perfectly.
I now had the money to pay for my shirts and glasses.
The rest of the day was spent at leisure.

After the morning rest on our balcony,after midday , we repair to the little bar restaurant just off the edge of the complex that the apartment is in.
A waiter there is a dark Peter, he stands the same, grins the same and has a similar demeanor. We have a drink of some sort, watch the world go by, order a snack and after that go back to the apartment where we finish off the chores, rest and shower ready to go out in the evening.
At six thirty we gather in a bar in Candolim, discuss the day and what's on for tomorrow. Eight o'clockish we split up and go our separate ways for the evening meal.
The interesting fact is that the evening meal is usually cheaper than the midday snack because we often go out of town so do not pay the tourist prices. A similar meal can vary from 80R. out of town to 200R. on the strip.
After the meal, back home, if the bar is quiet one for the ditch, if not straight in and off to bed.
